London Library Events

  • Tickets can be purchased online through The London Library website via Fareharbor.
  • Once purchased, tickets for an event cannot be refunded or exchanged. However, tickets can be transferred to a different attendee, let us know by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or calling 020 7766 4700 in advance of the event.
  • Photographs and/or video footage or other recordings may be taken by the Library at the event and used for promotional purposes by the Library. This may result in incidental inclusion of delegates within any recording or photographs and attending the event you consent to appear in any such materials without any due claims or payments regarding our use of such materials for our promotional or marketing purposes.
  • The views of our speakers may not represent the views of The London Library.
  • Event programmes and speakers are subject to change, ticket fees will not be refunded due to such changes to an event line-up.
  • Event attendees should show due courtesy and consideration for other attendees, speakers, Library users and Library staff at all times and behaviour to the contrary will risk being refused admission or asked to leave the event. In this circumstance tickets will not be refunded.
  • Events are subject to cancellation. If the Library has to cancel the event, our liability is limited to a full refund of the event fee only. Where possible we shall try to reschedule the event.  If we are unable to reschedule the event or you do not wish to attend the rescheduled event, then you will be entitled to receive either a refund or credit note in respect of your ticket fee for the event.

London Library Membership Introductory Offers

  • Introductory offers may be made available from time to time by the London Library.
  • Introductory offers are for new members and cannot be used by current or renewing London Library members or anyone who has been in London Library membership in the last 24 months.
  • Introductory offers can only be used once, unless otherwise stated.
  • Introductory offers are not applicable to Life Membership, some may only be applicable to Full, Young Person and Spouse Membership.
  • Introductory offers apply to London Library membership only and cannot be transferred to other London Library products and services.
  • Introductory offers are each applicable for a set period of time. The London Library reserves the right to earlier terminate, withdraw or refuse any introductory offer any time without prior notice and with no liability.
  • Introductory offers that are for members only may not be used by non-members. 
  • Introductory offers that are for a specific type of membership e.g. gift membership may not be used for any other type of membership.
  • At the end of the introductory membership period, usually 12 months, London Library membership is renewable at the standard rate for the applicable category of membership.

London Library Competitions

  • The organisation running the competition is The London Library, (Charity No. 312175).
  • There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  • By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  • Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
  • Competitions will be subject to a closing date. The London Library reserves the right to earlier terminate or withdraw or refuse any competition any time without prior notice and with no liability.
  • No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received.
  • Prizes offered are not exchangeable and have no cash value.
