For Individuals
Full Individual Membership
Full access to the Library building during open hours (6 days a week and at least 2 late evenings until 9pm).
More than 150 spaces to read or work including four reading rooms or a choice of individual study spaces.
Voting and AGM attendance helping to shape the Library.
Full Spouse/Partner and Young Person Membership
Spouses/partners of existing members and people aged 16-29 may join the Library at half price. All other benefits are as Individual Membership.
Full Life Membership
Join the Library as a full member for life and help to support this important institution.
Price depends on age at application.
Patron Membership
If you are not already a Library member, an easy way to enjoy the full benefits of both the Library’s membership and patrons’ programmes is to become a Patron Member.

Supported Membership
Members or prospective members unable to meet the full annual fee of London Library membership may be eligible for Supported membership which will normally cover 30% or, in exceptional cases 60% of the annual subscription.
Supported members enjoy all of the benefits of full membership.
Associate Membership
Full borrowing rights plus access to the Library building at the following times:
Mondays and Tuesdays: 5.00pm-9.00pm
Wednesdays: 5.00pm-5.30pm or 5.00pm-9.00pm when events in the Reading Room are compatible with maintaining member access to other parts of the Library.
Thursdays: 5.00pm-5.30pm
Fridays and Saturdays: 9.30am-5.30pm
Remote Membership
Full borrowing rights and access to the Library building only to collect and return books.
Overseas Membership
This is available for visitors from overseas with no permanent address in the United Kingdom.
For Groups
Institutional Membership
Institutions, associations, organisations and commercial bodies may take out institutional membership of the Library on an annual basis.
Schools Membership
Membership of The London Library is an ideal way of supplementing your own school library provision and providing your students with inspiration, additional resources and a competitive advantage, especially for those undertaking individual research based projects or the EPQ.
