The London Library Abroad: Dublin

For our third annual Founders' Circle trip abroad, this year The London Library will be enjoying a literary long weekend in Dublin. A UNESCO City of Literature, the Irish capital is as famed for its tradition of lyrical storytelling as it is for the storied streets where Joyce, Wilde and Yeats once roamed. Based in the heart of the city for three nights, we will discover the voices of the vibrant cultural scene of today, and the legacies of great Irish writers writ large throughout the cityscape.

Along with visits to private collections, we will visit the world-famous Museum of Literature, dedicated to Ireland's literary giants, and enjoy a private tour of the renowned Trinity College Dublin Old Library (above), home to the ancient Book of Kells. In addition to Dublin's wonderful historic libraries and literary offering, we will also delve into the city's wealth of art and dine at some of its best restaurants.
