Bibliotheca Lambethana

Join us for an expert-led exploration of Lambeth Palace Library, the historic library of the Archbishops of Canterbury and the national library and archive of the Church of England.

Founded under the Will of Archbishop Richard Bancroft in 1610, the Bibliotheca Lambethana is repository to an extraordinary treasure trove of rare manuscripts, books and archives dating back to the 9th century. It is the second-largest religious library in the world after the Vatican.

This bespoke tour will include access to the library's conservation studio, its reading room, and 8th floor terrace with impressive views over London.
